MySports Modernizes Studio with Robotic Camera Technology
As part of a comprehensive upgrade of its production control room, MySports has equipped its existing studio with modern robotic camera systems from Ross Video. AVC-Systems was responsible for installing the robotic systems in the studio and integrating the control components into the newly renovated control room.
The setup includes a Furio x650 Robo Dolly on a track system, as well as two Furio x650 BlackBird Pedestals with S2 lifts. The installation is complemented by a CamBot pan/tilt camera head. Together, these systems enable precise, repeatable, and highly flexible camera movements for studio productions.
The new control room has been equipped with the corresponding robotics control components, including a Robotics CX-3R Joystick Panel and SmartShell control software. Thanks to a custom integration with the Sony production switcher, camera presets and moves can be recalled efficiently and seamlessly incorporated into the production workflow.
The project scope went beyond the mechanical installation and also included cabling, commissioning, system configuration, and training for the MySports team. The result is a powerful yet intuitive robotic camera solution that gives MySports greater flexibility and efficiency in its studio productions.
