New Studio-Highlight in Fribourg @blue Entertainment AG
AVC-Systems AG recently equipped the new studio of blue Entertainment AG in Fribourg with state-of-the-art LED video wall technology and production systems – from the concept phase through delivery to installation and commissioning.
Concept & Implementation
At the heart of the installation is a seamless LED wall solution featuring impressive dimensions and technical sophistication. Key components include:
A curved main screen measuring 4.80 × 2.025 m
Two side screens, each 3.60 × 1.688 m
A movable LED wall on wheels (3.00 × 1.688 m) for flexible use cases
A decorative curved corner LED element measuring 7.20 × 0.675 m
An elevated round platform in front of the main screen, equipped with LED strips all around
The modules were supplied with a 1.5 mm pixel pitch – ideal for studio environments with short viewing distances and high detail requirements.
Backend Technology
A powerful system setup was implemented to drive and control the visual output and production workflow of the new studio:
XPression Tessera by Ross Video: This solution enables the simultaneous operation of multiple Full-HD output channels and allows large LED surfaces to be treated as a single logical canvas – perfect for curved displays and multi-screen setups.
Carbonite Ultra 60 Production Switcher: A high-performance switcher for live productions with support for HD and UHD, a wide range of inputs/outputs, multiviewer capabilities, and format converters. This ensures the studio is fully prepared for complex live scenarios.
TouchDrive X Series 3 ME 35 XPT Panel: An intuitive control panel for the switcher and other live production elements – delivering maximum efficiency in daily control room operations.
Planning & Partnership
AVC-Systems AG not only handled delivery and installation but was also involved early on in the concept and planning stages – including layout consulting, overall technical planning, coordination with structural engineering, and integration into existing production and control rooms. In close collaboration with blue Entertainment AG, a studio was created that meets the highest technical and visual standards.
Result & Outlook
The new studio provides blue Entertainment AG with a future-proof platform for broadcasts, live productions, and virtual setups. Large LED surfaces, flexible elements, and a powerful production system open up diverse creative possibilities – from news and sports shows to event transmissions.
