Upgraded In‑House Control Room for New LED Cube @GSHC
Founded in 1905, the Genève‑Servette Hockey Club (GSHC) is one of Switzerland’s most storied ice hockey teams and a proud symbol of the city of Geneva. With the 2023 Swiss Championship title, the 2024 Champions League victory, and a passionate fan base that regularly fills the 7,135 seats at the Patinoire des Vernets, GSHC continues to set the standard in the National League.
The Challenge
Just before the start of the 2024 season, the club faced the task of upgrading its in‑house control room to fully leverage the capabilities of its new, state‑of‑the‑art LED cube. The goal was to meet the rising expectations of fans—renowned for their chants and choreographies—while also fulfilling the demands of sponsors. The system had to deliver stunning visual content, seamless replays, and flexible signal processing to create an immersive game‑day experience.
Our Solution
AVC‑Systems AG was commissioned to design, supply, and install the complete modernization of the in‑house control room. From integrating cutting‑edge Ross Video technology to training the production team, we delivered a turnkey solution that was fully operational in time for the season opener.
Installation Highlights
XPression Studio with Tessera Option – Powers the creation and control of high‑resolution, dynamic graphics for both the LED cube and in‑house TV. From player statistics to animated sponsor content and the scoreboard, every pixel is driven from a single workstation.
8‑Channel Mira Replay System – Delivers fast, precise replays from multiple camera angles, showcasing the most exciting game moments on the cube for the fans.
ULTRIX Carbonite – Ensures reliable signal processing and flexible switching, operated via the intuitive TD1 panel for efficient control.
Seamless Integration – All components are perfectly synchronized to minimize latency and ensure smooth production. Control is centralized through a custom‑designed DashBoard interface.
Training & Support – The GSHC team received comprehensive training to operate the new technologies with confidence and creativity, backed by ongoing technical support from AVC‑Systems AG.

At the start of the 2024 season, the new LED cube captivated fans with razor‑sharp graphics, thrilling replays, and dynamic content.
